Sibling Story - family lifestyle

This family contacted me in November to organise a sibling shoot for a special Christmas gift. We met at Hyde Park in Perth on a sunny morning as it was the only time everyone could be together. Even though the sun was shining brightly overhead, there were so many beautiful trees and spots with open shade to capture these photos.

Because the siblings and their partners wanted natural and less formal portraits for the gift they had in mind, my goal was to make this lifestyle shoot as fun and relaxed as possible while capturing the different family connections. We also wanted to avoid all the other visitors in the park, so tried to keep to quiet areas with trees and water in the background.

I really didn't need to work very hard to guide this family into poses, as they naturally came together and thoroughly enjoyed joking and teasing one another. I captured a mix of serious and fun images which I hope they enjoy for years to come. I loved our time together and the fact that they chose to celebrate their relationship with these photographs.
