About Me

I'm a wife, and mother of three grown up children living in Perth, Western Australia. Inspired by my faith, family and community, I love to document life through words and images.

My husband and I grew up in Zimbabwe and began our life together farming and running a business while raising our children. We moved to Perth to start a new life fourteen years ago, for which we are very grateful.

My love of photography had its roots initially in memory keeping more than memory making, but as I pursued my quest for making better images, it evolved into a full blown passion. And I'm still that mom flapping about trying to 'capture the moment' while everyone is starving and desperate to start the meal on Christmas day.

I've been capturing events and making memories for people for ten years now, and I hope that as much as the images document relationships with precious loved ones and moments in time, they create a way to value and treasure the present so that we all live richly, thankfully and with joy.

If you were to ask my family what some of my favourite things are (apart from them), they would tell you I'm pretty easy to please. I love a good walk in the bush or at the beach (with my camera of course), making things, giving and receiving flowers, eating dark chocolate and connecting with friends over a coffee or glass of red wine. I love hearing family stories and the events that have shaped peoples' lives and made them who they are. We are all on this journey together and have so much to learn from and share with one another.

My photography style is natural, relaxed lifestyle and documentary, but I love to capture special connections through some lightly posed portraits. So if you have a story or special event you would like to record and celebrate, I would love to help you.

Cheryl recently took my engagement shoot and it was exactly as I had imagined it. I had a few ideas but she had many of her own that made it so easy.
