Celebrating A Sweet Little Girl - newborn lifestyle story

Lifestyle newborn shoots are some of my most favourite to capture, particularly with first time parents. There is such a sense of wonder and awe as they gaze at their newborn and try to take in all the details of their tiny bundle of perfection. As I come into a couple's home, I aim to capture their relationship with each other, their precious newborn, any other family members or pets who are there, and a little of their home to tell the complete the story. It might seem irrelevant to capture the broader story at the time because we can't imagine how much our lives might change, but sometimes our lives do change dramatically and all these sweet memories become a valuable treasure and part of our heritage.

This cute little girl and her parents were a delight to spend time with and photograph when she was just one week new. For most of our time together she was wide awake, showing off her beautiful eyes and was perfectly content. We took some images of her alone, some with each parent and then with them altogether. I was grateful for the opportunity to take these first photos for this lovely family and wish them much joy for the future.
